Is a charging cable included?

Yes. The Cord Zero is tethered, so a Type 2 cable is permanently attached to the unit. Choose 5m or 8m at checkout, and pick 8m if the car parks nose-in or its charge port is on the far side.

How fast will it charge my car?

7.36kW adds roughly 25 to 30 miles of range per hour on most EVs. Your car's onboard AC charger sets the ceiling, so a plug-in hybrid or an EV limited to 3.6kW will charge more slowly whatever the unit is rated at.

Which smart tariffs does it work with?

It works with Intelligent Octopus Go and OVO Charge Anytime, so charging can be shifted automatically to cheap off-peak overnight rates through the Cord app.

Does it need home Wi-Fi?

No. The Cord Zero has built-in 4G as well as Wi-Fi, so it stays connected and the smart features keep working even if your broadband does not reach the driveway.

Who can install it, and can I get a grant?

It must be fitted by a qualified electrician, and by an OZEV-authorised installer if you want the EV Chargepoint Grant. That grant is worth up to 350 pounds for people in flats or rented homes with off-street parking.

What warranty does it come with?

The Cord Zero comes with a 5 year product warranty on the charger. The installation work itself is covered separately by the warranty your installer provides.
