OZEV approved EV chargers are the chargepoints that qualify for UK government EV charging grants — up to £350 off a home installation through the EV chargepoint grant, and up to £350 per socket for businesses through the Workplace Charging Scheme. Every charger on this page is on the approved list, so your installation qualifies. We stock 59 OZEV approved chargers from 16 brands including MyEnergi, Andersen, Easee, Zaptec, Ohme, Pod Point, Evec, Sevadis, Indra, Humax, NexBlue, VCHRGD and Simpson & Partners, in 7kW home and 22kW commercial ratings, tethered and untethered. Prices start from £312 with free UK delivery.
What is the OZEV EV chargepoint grant and how much is it worth?
OZEV is the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, the government body that runs the UK's EV charging grant schemes. The EV chargepoint grant provides up to £350 off the cost of buying and installing a home charger, and the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) provides up to £350 per socket, capped at 40 sockets, for businesses installing chargers for staff and fleet vehicles. There are also dedicated grants for landlords and for residential car parks. The grant covers 75% of the total cost up to the cap, so the charger and installation together determine what you actually receive. Read our full guide to every EV charger grant available in 2026.
Which EV chargers are OZEV approved?
Only smart chargers that meet the government's technical specification qualify — they must be able to be remotely controlled, record energy use and support scheduled charging. Every charger in this collection is on the approved list, spanning 16 brands: Andersen, Deta, Easee, Evec, Humax, Indra, MyEnergi, NexBlue, Ohme, Pod Point, Sevadis, Simpson & Partners, Sync Energy, VCHRGD, VEVA and Zaptec. If a charger is not shown on this page, it is either not on the approved list or not currently stocked by us. Filtering this collection by brand is the quickest way to confirm a particular model qualifies before you commit.
Who is eligible for the OZEV grant?
The home EV chargepoint grant is aimed at people who could not previously claim under the old homeowner scheme — principally renters and flat owners with private off-street parking, plus landlords installing chargers for tenants. You need an eligible electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, a suitable off-street parking space, and the work must be carried out by an OZEV-authorised installer. Businesses claim through the Workplace Charging Scheme instead, which is open to companies, charities and public sector organisations with dedicated off-street parking for staff or fleet. Eligibility rules do change, so check the current criteria before ordering.
How do I claim the OZEV grant?
You do not claim it yourself. Your OZEV-authorised installer applies on your behalf and deducts the grant from your bill, so you pay the reduced amount upfront rather than waiting for a refund. In practice that means the order of events matters: confirm the charger is on the approved list (everything on this page is), then book an authorised installer, and let them handle the paperwork. Businesses applying through the Workplace Charging Scheme receive a voucher code first, which is then redeemed by the installer. Our EV charger installation service covers the whole process.
What is the cheapest OZEV approved EV charger?
The most affordable OZEV approved charger we stock is the Evec VEC01 7.4kW untethered at £312, followed by the Evec VEC03 tethered at £357, the Sync Energy 7.4kW untethered and Deta eDock2 at £370, the VCHRGD Seven Pro at £380 and the VEVA 7.4kW at £390. With the grant applied, a qualifying household can bring the total installed cost down substantially on any of these. All prices include free UK delivery. If budget is the deciding factor, compare the full 7kW home charger range side by side.
Can businesses get a grant for EV chargers?
Yes — the Workplace Charging Scheme provides up to £350 per socket, capped at 40 sockets across all sites, for businesses, charities and public sector organisations. It covers both 7kW and 22kW chargers, and dual socket units count as two sockets, which is why they often work out better value per charging point on larger installations. The charger must be OZEV approved and installed by an authorised installer.
