What Nayax products are available?

We stock two Nayax EV chargers and two payment terminals. The Nayax EV Meter Pay (£1,320) is a 22kW untethered Type 2 charger with a VPOS Touch payment terminal built into the unit. The EV Meter Pay2 (£2,140) is the dual socket version, serving two bays from a single installation with 22kW available at each socket. The VPOS Media 5 (£740) and VPOS Media 4 Mini (£450) are standalone Android payment terminals that add card payment to charging hardware you already own, or to a post such as the e.Park Universal Payment Post.

How much do Nayax EV chargers cost to buy and run?

The Nayax EV Meter Pay is £1,320 and the dual socket EV Meter Pay2 is £2,140, both including free UK delivery. Running costs are transparent: the single socket charger carries a £10 per month service fee covering the payment terminal MSF and one OCPP connector, and the dual carries £17 per month covering the £10 terminal fee and two OCPP connectors — £8.50 per charging point, so cost per bay falls as you add sockets. The standalone VPOS terminals are £740 (Media 5) and £450 (Media 4 Mini), each with a £10 monthly terminal fee plus a percentage transaction fee.

How does contactless payment work on a Nayax charger?

A driver walks up, taps a debit or credit card, digital wallet or NFC device on the VPOS Touch terminal and starts charging. There is no app to download and no account to register, which removes the single biggest reason drivers abandon a public charge point. Nayax handles the transaction processing and settlement, paying takings through to the site owner. Every major payment method is supported, including contactless, chip, digital wallets, prepaid and NFC. 4G connectivity is included with an activated SIM, so the charger works without site broadband, and Ethernet is available where a wired connection is preferred.

What is the difference between the VPOS Media 5 and the VPOS Media 4 Mini?

Both are Android-based unattended payment terminals with built-in 4G. The VPOS Media 5 (£740) has the larger 4” touchscreen in the range, giving room for clear payment prompts, pricing and site branding, and it reads contactless, NFC, chip and magstripe cards — useful on public sites where you cannot predict what card a driver will present. It is PCI-PTS certified with telemetry built in. The VPOS Media 4 Mini (£450) was designed specifically for EV charging: it drops magstripe and shrinks the footprint so the terminal fits inside a charger enclosure or on a post, giving a tidier installation for less money.

Can Nayax chargers be managed through my own back office?

Yes — both the EV Meter Pay and EV Meter Pay2 support OCPP 1.6, so sessions can be managed through Nayax's own platform or through a third-party back office you already use. The single socket unit includes one OCPP connector in its monthly fee and the dual includes two. This matters if you run charge points across multiple sites or brands and want them all reporting into one system rather than logging into separate portals. Where are Nayax EV chargers best used?

Nayax hardware suits any site where the public pays to charge and turnover matters more than familiarity — car parks, hotels, retail parks, leisure centres, pubs and restaurants, and visitor bays at workplaces. The tap-and-charge model works because a first-time visitor can use the charger without preparation. PEN fault detection and 6mA DC protection are built into both chargers, so no earth rod is required and external protective device costs are reduced, and either unit can be wall or post mounted to suit the bay layout. Businesses installing chargers for staff and fleet may also be eligible for the Workplace Charging Scheme grant.
