We’re happy to accept returns on unwanted items with a 25% restocking fee. Just make sure they’re in like-new condition, unused, and still in the original packaging, ready for resale. The buyer covers the return shipping, and returns should be made within 14 days of delivery. Please note that some specially imported or custom-made items can’t be returned. How fast is the EDC01 when two cars are plugged in?

On its own, a single vehicle gets the full 7.4kW. Connect a second and the unit splits the supply evenly, 3.7kW to each. That is around 12 to 15 miles of range per hour per car, which is still plenty across a night on the drive.

Why not just fit two separate chargers?

Cost, mostly. The PowerPair needs one wall position, one cable route and one installation visit rather than two, and it avoids a second connection into the consumer unit. Two separate 7.4kW units only make sense if you genuinely need both cars charging at full speed together.

What is the difference between the two outlets?

One is a fixed 5m Type 2 cable you unhook and plug straight in. The other is an open socket that takes any Type 2 lead, which is what lets the unit handle a visitor's car or a vehicle you keep a longer cable for.

Does it need a special electrical supply?

No. It runs on a standard single-phase domestic supply and mounts on a wall. PEN fault protection is built in, so there is no earth rod to drive, and load balancing keeps the draw inside what the house can give.

Can I schedule charging on a cheap tariff?

Yes. It connects over Wi-Fi and the evec app lets you set start and stop times, so both cars can be pushed into an off-peak EV tariff window overnight rather than charging at daytime rates.

Is it weatherproof enough for outdoors?

It is IP54 rated and works from -25C to 50C, which covers an exposed wall or a carport in a UK climate. That is a step below the IP55 units elsewhere in the Evec range, so a sheltered position is still the sensible choice.
