No Longer Required
We’re happy to accept returns on unwanted items with a 25% restocking fee. Just make sure they’re in like-new condition, unused, and still in the original packaging, ready for resale. The buyer covers the return shipping, and returns should be made within 14 days of delivery. Please note that some specially imported or custom-made items can’t be returned. Summary

The Evec VEC04 is a 22kW wall-mounted charger with a single tethered Type 2 cable of 6.5m, aimed at three-phase workplace and commercial sites rather than homes. The fixed cable means drivers walk up and plug in, and the extra length gives room to reach across a bay.

Does the Evec VEC04 come with a cable?

Yes. A 6.5m Type 2 cable is fixed to the unit, so drivers do not need to bring a lead of their own. It charges one vehicle at a time. If you need two bays served from a single unit, the EDW02 vecSPRINT is the dual socket 22kW wall charger.

Do I need a three-phase supply?

Yes for the full 22kW. AC charging above 7.4kW needs a 400V three-phase supply, so on a single-phase site you are looking at either a supply upgrade or a 7.4kW unit such as the VEC03 instead.

How much quicker is 22kW than 7.4kW?

On paper about three times, roughly 80 to 100 miles of range per hour. In practice it depends entirely on the vehicle's onboard AC charger, and plenty of EVs cap AC at 7.4kW or 11kW and will charge no faster on a 22kW unit.

Is it suitable for a home?

Not usually. Domestic properties are almost always single-phase, and the VEC04 is built around three-phase supply and commercial duty. It fits workplaces, depots and busy commercial car parks far better than a driveway.

Can it be monitored remotely?

Yes. Wi-Fi and OCPP 1.6J let you see sessions, energy use and faults through the evec app or a third-party back office, which matters when the charger sits on a site nobody visits daily.

Is there grant funding for it?

Businesses, charities and public sector organisations can apply to the Workplace Charging Scheme, worth up to 75% of purchase and installation costs, capped at 500 pounds per socket and 40 sockets per applicant. The VEC04 has one socket, so it counts as one. Funding is confirmed to 31 March 2027.
