We’re happy to accept returns on unwanted items with a 25% restocking fee. Just make sure they’re in like-new condition, unused, and still in the original packaging, ready for resale. The buyer covers the return shipping, and returns should be made within 14 days of delivery. Please note that some specially imported or custom-made items can’t be returned. Is the charger included in this kit?

Yes. This bundle includes the Pod Point Solo 3S 7.4kW tethered charge point along with the consumer unit, cable, tails, glands, terminal blocks and clips. Our standard EV Installation Kit is the same set of parts without a charger.

How long is the charging cable?

The Solo 3S tethered comes with a fixed 5m Type 2 cable and a cable holster. Measure from the mounting point to the car's charging port before ordering. If you need more reach, the untethered Solo 3S with a longer cable is the alternative.

Which supply cable length should I order?

Measure the actual cable route from the consumer unit to the charger position, including drops and corners, rather than the straight-line distance, and round up. It is far better to have a little spare than to be short on the day.

Does the installer need to fit an earth rod?

No. Pod Point's PEN isolation system is built into the Solo 3S and provides the earthing protection, so an additional earth rod is not needed.

Can I buy the parts individually instead?

Yes. Every item in the kit is stocked separately, including the Pod Point Solo 3S itself. The bundle simply groups the usual combination and saves placing several orders.

Does it include an installation service?

No. The kit is physical parts only. EV charger installations must comply with the current IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671, and applicable UK building and electrical safety standards, and should be carried out by a qualified and competent electrician.
