Can both sockets deliver 22kW at once?

Both are live together, and whether each reaches its full 22kW depends on the capacity of the incoming three-phase supply. Dynamic load balancing splits what is available between the two sessions, so two cars always charge, and they share rather than trip the feed when headroom is tight.

What does the installation need?

A 400V three-phase supply sized for two 32A circuits. On a dual 22kW unit the electrical work, not the charger, is usually the biggest variable, so get the available capacity at the board and the DNO position checked before you order.

Is the grant worth claiming on this unit?

It is the best case in the range for it. The Workplace Charging Scheme counts each socket, so a dual unit is two sockets and up to 1,000 pounds against one hardware and installation job, at 75 per cent of costs, 500 pounds a socket, 40 sockets per applicant and funding to 31 March 2027.

What does the LCD add over the plain model?

On-unit visibility. It shows charging status, guides a driver through starting a session and displays the MID meter reading, which cuts the number of people asking site staff whether a charger is working. It does not take payment, which is what the contactless range is for.

How do I recover the cost of the electricity?

Through your back office rather than the charger. Class 1 MID metering records every kWh to a standard accepted for billing in the UK, and your OCPP 1.6J platform attributes sessions to drivers for recharging. For card payment at the unit, the contactless equivalent is the ROLEC1123B.

Are cables included and what warranty applies?

No cables, because both sockets are untethered and drivers use their own Type 2 leads. Rolec provide a 3-year warranty, and firmware updates arrive over the air, with tamper and breach alerts reported to your management platform.
