We’re happy to accept returns on unwanted items with a 25% restocking fee. Just make sure they’re in like-new condition, unused, and still in the original packaging, ready for resale. Should I choose the 5m or the 10m cable?

Measure from where the unit will be fixed to the car's charge port on the far side of the parking space. 5m covers a charger beside the bay with the port facing it. Choose 10m if you park nose-in and out, share a drive, or the wall is set back behind the car.

Does a longer cable charge more slowly?

No. Both leads carry the full 32A and the difference in loss over 10m is negligible. The trade-off is handling, since a 10m Type 2 lead is heavier and takes more effort to coil away tidily.

How is this different from the untethered WallPod?

The charger is identical. This version has the cable built in for convenience, the untethered one has a bare socket so you can take your own lead with you and swap it if it is damaged.

What if the tethered cable gets damaged?

A tethered lead is replaceable, but it is a job for an electrician rather than something you swap yourself. It is the one drawback against untethered, where a damaged cable is simply a new cable.

Can I still use public chargers?

Yes, but you will need a separate portable Type 2 cable for post-mounted public units, because the lead on this charger stays fixed to the wall at home.

Am I eligible for the EV Chargepoint Grant?

The OZEV grant of up to 350 pounds applies to people in flats and rented homes with dedicated off-street parking. Homeowners in a house are not eligible. The installer must be OZEV-authorised and claims it for you.
