No Longer Required
We’re happy to accept returns on unwanted items with a 25% restocking fee. Just make sure they’re in like-new condition, unused, and still in the original packaging, ready for resale. The buyer covers the return shipping, and returns should be made within 14 days of delivery. Please note that some specially imported or custom-made items can’t be returned. The Zaptec Go is the original compact 7.4kW single-phase home charger from Zaptec, with a socketed Type 2 outlet for your own cable. It is now superseded by the Zaptec Go 2, which is the newer model, though the Go remains a well-proven charger and the more affordable of the two. Will I need to supply the charging cable?

Yes. There is a Type 2 socket and no attached lead, so you use the portable cable supplied with your EV. It keeps the unit tidy and means a change of car does not mean a change of charger.

Has this been replaced by the Zaptec Go 2?

Yes, the Go 2 is the newer model and it adds V2G capability. The Go is still a current, well-proven charger and sits at a lower price, so it remains a sound choice if vehicle-to-grid readiness is not on your list.

What colours can I have?

Six. Asphalt Black, Rock Grey, Moss Green, Cloud White, Wood Brown and Midnight Blue. The finish is chosen at the point of order, so pick before checkout rather than after installation.

Does it need home broadband?

No. As well as Wi-Fi it has a 4G LTE-M connection, which is helpful in a detached garage or at the far end of a drive where the house router does not reach.

How much range does an hour of charging add?

Roughly 25 to 30 miles on a typical EV at 7.4kW. Some cars accept less than 7.4kW on AC, in which case the vehicle caps the rate and the charger simply matches it.

Is there any funding available?

The OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant is limited to flats and rented homes with off-street parking and is worth up to 350 pounds. Homeowners in houses are no longer covered. Where it does apply, an OZEV-authorised installer submits the claim.
