EV charger accessories cover everything that goes around the charger itself — the parts that make a charge point tidier, safer, easier to share or able to take payment. We stock 20 accessories from Easee, Evec, MyEnergi, Nayax, NexBlue, Rolec, Charge-M8, Simpson & Partners and e.Park, including RFID cards and fobs from £7, cable holders and hooks, cover caps and colour front panels, load balancing equalizers, energy monitoring sensors, crash barriers and commercial payment terminals. Free UK delivery on everything.
The range breaks into six groups. Cable holders and hooks keep the charging lead off the ground between sessions, from £38. Covers and front panels protect the unit and let you change its colour, from £15. RFID cards, fobs and keys control who can start a charge, from £7. Load balancing equalizers and energy monitoring sensors manage how much power the charger draws, from £85. Crash barriers protect the charge point from vehicle impact, from £155. Payment terminals let you charge the public for charging, from £335. Most accessories are brand-specific, so check compatibility with your charger before ordering.
What is an EV cable holder for?
An untethered charger leaves you with a loose Type 2 cable to deal with after every charge, and coiling it on the floor means it sits in water, gets driven over and eventually damages the connector. A wall-mounted holder or U-hook keeps it off the ground and the plug end protected. We stock the Easee black U-hook at £40, the premium Easee U-hook at £55, the NexBlue grey cable hook at £38 and the Simpson & Partners cable hook at £55 in 14 colours. It is the cheapest thing you can do to extend the life of a charging cable. Browse all cable holders.
What do RFID cards and fobs do?
An RFID card or fob is tapped on the charger to start a session, so only authorised people can use it. That matters on any charge point that is not behind a locked gate — shared driveways, workplace car parks, residential developments and fleet depots. Each card is tied to a user in the charger's back office, so you also get a record of who charged and how much energy they used, which is what makes staff reimbursement or tenant recharging possible. We stock Easee RFID keys from £7 and Rolec RFID cards and fobs from £35 in packs of 2, 3 or 5. See all RFID cards and fobs.
What is a load balancer or equalizer and do I need one?
A load balancer measures the total current your property is drawing and tells the charger to reduce its output when the rest of the building is under heavy load, so the main fuse never trips. It is what allows a full-power charger to be fitted to a property that could not otherwise support one, and it becomes essential when installing more than one charger on a single supply. We stock the Easee 100A single phase equalizer at £160, the 100A three phase at £495 and the 500A three phase at £690, plus the MyEnergi Harvi wireless sensor at £85. See our full load management range.
How can I take payment for EV charging?
A payment terminal turns a charge point into a revenue stream by letting drivers tap a bank card, with no app or account required. We stock the Nayax VPOS Media 4 Mini at £450 and the larger-screen VPOS Media 5 at £740, the Charge-M8 Sigma wall-mounted payment kiosk at £335, and the Evec PAY-WALL and PAY-TWR units with integrated Payter terminals. Terminals normally carry a monthly fee plus a percentage of each transaction — the product pages set out the running costs. Browse all commercial payment systems.
How do I protect an EV charger from damage?
On any car park or shared parking area, the main risk to a charge point is a mis-judged reverse. A crash barrier bolted to the hard standing in front of the unit takes that impact instead of the charger, at a fraction of the cost of replacing one. We stock the e.Park hooped barrier in black or yellow at £155 and the Evec CB01 at £175. Charger covers and cover caps also protect the socket and connector from weather and dirt when the unit is not in use. See all crash barriers and charger covers.
